So, I was tired last night and didn't say all that was on my mind about
the musical version of Hairspray.

Firstly, I think it's excellent that John Waters is so mainstream that
some soccer mom is potentially going to enjoy this musical, then
potentially seek out other work by Waters and will potentially see such
films as Pink Flamingos, Polyester, and/or Desperate Living.

Secondly, Jm J Bullock was in the Nashville production. hooray for Jm
J! He did a short lived talk progrum with Tammy Faye and I love her.

Finally, it just wasn't so great. The gal who played Tracy was kind of
stiff. she could sing, though. The spirit of the film was completely
lost. I mentioned previously that they sanitized it, and that's really
an understatement. They scrubbed it raw.
