    How I Became Your Mom

Ok, let's get it out of the way--that's a joke I've been dying to make. I'm not the first, I won't be the last. See, there's a local band, How I Became The Bomb, and I saw them for the first time last night. They were really good, seriously.

But anyway, headed to the Exit In. I think the last time I went there was either for BR-549 or the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players. Both were good shows if I recall correctly. And last night's was really good too, in spite of my ill fitting clothes, high heels, and the heat.

As I mentioned, I'd not heard of HIBTB before but I have heard excellent things about them. THey did not disappoint. I have been informed they have an EP, I should really check that out.

Next was Ghostfinger with a newly added horn section. Over the past year and a half since I first saw them they've added a total of four extra people which is just fine with me. They sounded very polished but were still the crazy motherfuckers I love so.

Finally, the Clutters. I do love them, they are definitely in my top ten favorites ever. Back when I was at SXSW I was supposed to see them TWICE but the first show was over capacity (blessing and a curse--they're getting a lot of attention but gosh darn it, I wanted to see them), the second was cancelled for rain. I kinda wanted to leave before they played because my allergies, the heat, my feet, etc were really wanting me to get the hell out of there, but I decided to stay and am very glad I did; they played several new songs, all of which rocked like warm slipper socks.
