Rumors of my ipod's death are greatly exaggerated
As a quick scan will show (go ahead, I'll wait) my ipod's had issues for a bit. Around October it started not responding. It would just not come on, most of the time resetting didn't work, the only option was to just let the battery run down and start over again. Good times, right? So last week it just froze right in the middle of use. I reset it but it came up with the frowny ipod face. I was able to sync it, though, and went on with my life. Ok--flash forward to early morning yesterday: it's dead. I could reset it as much as I wanted, it was not going to cooperate. I attempted a restore even, that didn't work. I ended up at the annoyingly named Genius Bar at my local Apple store.
Wow. The scales have fallen from my eyes. Those apple folks know how to serve a customer. Since my ipod was still under warranty (just...) duder just hands me a new one. So I'm a listenin and a grinnin. I'm a changed woman. Yes, I still think they're a leetle pretentious, what with their quirky, trying to hard air and all. I mean, they're like an annoying music journalist--everything seems so contrived that even when they're not it seems like they're trying too hard to be cool. But whatever, their products look cool and their customer service is excellent. AND I'm able to tune out the world again, that's the real joy.
