    Yesterday

Yesterday was my 30.5 birthday. I figure if your birthday is supposed to be a special celebration then your half birthday should be the most mundane day of the year. So I went to the bank, bought some pet stuff, picked up a friend at the airport, ate dinner with my family, did some laundry, and bought gas (yes, I once again drove to the country for cheap gas. I saved about $2 on the whole tank, so suck it, bitches).

EDITED TO ADD: Forgot two very mundane things. First, stopped for an oil change, tire rotation, wiper blade change, and brake light replacement. Good times. Also, forgot that I rolled an assload of change. Don't laugh, I probably have close to $10 rolled. So that, plus $2 saved at the gas station is $12. That's a sushi lunch!

But the end was probably better than my actual birthday. I stepped outside 9:30ish to watch the neighborhood fireworks. Really, really good show, I look forward to it every year and the fact that I can watch it in my yard in my pajamas is a bonus. There was some lightning off in the distance so that was pretty cool also. No soundtrack to the fireworks but they DID set off a bunch of car alarms so I suppose that will have to do.

Denny wanted to fight the fireworks but I managed to corral him inside. Flashy did not care for them at all and made a quick dash for the front door when they started.
