I prefer to think that my memories are airbrushed, not watercolor.

I've had some crazy nostalgia going on lately. I suppose these things happen when you get older. It doesn't help that I just got an email from my university alumni association with a picture of my freshman dorm in mid-demolition. It seems they're getting some fancy dorms with commons areas that include TVs and kitchenettes and single rooms with double beds. We're talking mini apartments. My senior year dorm has already been torn down. My other senior dorm was fairly new, but instead of being the much sought after building it'll now be the old dorm.

The new dorms even have a freakin ELEVATOR. Back in my day we had to turn in our student IDs to get the elevator key, a key which could only be kept for an hour for an elevator that was old and terrifying.
