LEt's start with me.

As you know, yesterday I went on my freakin birthday to get an MRI and a carotid doppler, this all relates to some dissiness and numbness I've been experiencing. The carotid doppler was basically an ultrasound of my neck. I got to see AND hear my heartbeat! It was a bit unnerving, the ultrasound lady wasn't terribly friendly, but then maybe that's because she's used to happy pregnant ladies. The MRI was a little better, the MRI lady was nicer and did a good job of explaining the proceedure. I wasn't all the way in the tube, just to right above my waist. I didn't have to strip down, I did have to take off my glasses and tongue jewelry. It wasn't too claustrophobic, and the machine made some pretty cool sounds. I thought it would be fun to combine the MRI sounds and my ultrasound heartbeat sounds and make some electronica. Oh wait, but I don't like electronica. The coolest was one part that almost sounded like a call and response. It was really loud, I shudder to think how loud it would've been without the earplugs and foam they used to block the sound. The result is that there's no problem really. The MD scheduled me an appt with a neurologist and my regular doctor.

Denny is at the vet's office right now having an anal abcess lanced and drained. He'd been chewing on his bum for a few days. i'd planned on waiting until Friday to take him to the vet, thinking it was his anal glands bothering him. This morning I noticed his bum was red and raw and there was a large lump. A quick trip to the vet while I was being doctored revealed that it's an abcess, draining, antibiotics, blah blah blah poor little denny!
