As much as I hate their advertising campaigns and their devotees I do have to admit I like Apple. I make fun of the name Genius Bar but they do get the job done. seriously. Do you know what was wrong with my ipod? the plastic was mashed into the metal part causing issues with the hard drive so the dude just pulled the plastic part out a little and then put some stuff on it to make sure it worked. Dude was the same dude who checked it out before, so I like him and not just because he kind of looks like Parker Lewis's dad.

He put on some sports podcasts which really weren't interesting, and he also put some tech/sales staff podcasts intended for Apple employees. HMMMM. Yes, I did listen, and yes, they are as boring as you'd expect.

I also bought an external hard drive, as my computer may die any day now. When it does, I'll probably go for a mac. Now, you can shut up. I only resisted because for work I use a PC and I kind of like to have compatible equipment. Since you can run XP then that just rocks. It's rather progressive I'd say.

So I've got a working ipod. I've got an external hard drive. And, thanks to a kiosk in the mall, I now have some See's truffles.
