It's time for some pictures

How much fun is THIS? an ATM! actually, this provided the first drama of the evening as it wouldn't take my card, the son of a bitch It should be known that I like Billy Graham. He's been in the public eye for a very long time and has remained scandal free (wikipedia has informed me that he's not completely above reproach--see the link below for some controversies he's been involved in). So I was going to kneel in prayer but the rocks around the statue are sharp so I ended up humbling myself a little bit more than I intended. Superstar! Dr Gay is moved by the spirit. Some info from Wikipedia: Billy Graham is a Southern Baptist who left Bob Jones University because it was too fundamentalist. He is a registered Democrat who votes for who he considers right for the job at the time.

The whole "hanging out with Dr Gay" thing.
After a quick gift exchange, a visit with the family, and a little old school sesame street we were off like a prom dress.
First we headed to Kate's for the annual Solstice Party. Honestly, I could've eaten the entire plate of chess bars. Really, they were excellent. Also there was a round of scattergories where Dr G and I shared first place with John's mom. Some highlights: person who wears a uniform: dominatrix (Dr Gay) something made of metal: Dokken (me) good times! But we were supposed to meet old pal Zach so we headed out to Play, a bar we'd never visited before. Wow. just wow. First, I should point out that there was this one girl who repeatedly went to the stage to tip the performers. She was absolutely gorgeous--amazing knockout figure, beautiful face, flawless skin. We later found out it was Calpernia Addams, she was apparently performing the next night (that would be tonight if you were wondering). This was a bit interesting as we'd been talking about the film Soldier's Girl on the way there. I thought I saw Joshua of Nemesis, but it really couldn't have been him. could it? I'm still not sure. Signs point to no, but if the twins had doppelgangers this guy could've easily been it. So we watched the drag performers. It was fun. And while our only listener Samantha couldn't join us we were very glad she sent the lovely Deception in her stead. After the first show ended we decided to leave. We ended the evening at the Hermitage Cafe, the best place to end an evening. Labels: celebrations, dr gay, food, nashville
